Delete your account and data
This page explains how to request deletion of your JustYap account and the personal data associated with it.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (instant)
The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the app:
- Open JustYap.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and data are deleted immediately.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed, email us and we will delete your account on your behalf:
We verify ownership of the address before deleting so that no one else can remove your account. We respond to and complete verified requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Deletion is permanent and removes:
- Your account record (email and/or Google identity, install identifier).
- Your remaining credit balance.
- Your session history and usage records.
- Your purchase records held by JustYap.
- Your referral code and referral relationships.
- Any voice models you created with the optional voice-cloning feature (these are hosted by Inworld AI and removed on request).
Conversations and phrasebook entries you saved are stored only on your device and are removed when you delete them in the app or uninstall it; they are never uploaded to JustYap servers.
What may be retained, and for how long
We may retain a minimal record of completed transactions where required for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. Payment records are also held by Google Play under Google's own retention policies. Such records are kept only as long as legally required and are not used to re-identify you for any other purpose.
